Publicly exposing abuses acts as a powerful deterrent. It creates national awareness, pressures law enforcement to act, and forces the justice system to hold violators accountable openly.

Voting is the ultimate civic duty and the foundation of a democratic society. By casting a ballot in presidential and parliamentary elections, a citizen directly participates in governance, exercises their constitutional right, ensures the peaceful transition of power, and steers the direction of national development.

A citizen who possesses a clear understanding of both their constitutional rights (what they are entitled to) and their civic obligations (their duties to the state, such as paying taxes and obeying laws) directly embodies the definition of a responsible citizen.

Committee on Youth Organization (C.Y.O.) is not a recognized statutory or constitutional body tasked with the formal tracking, enforcement, or prevention of human rights abuses.

Role of the other options

Formed Police Unit (F.P.U.): This specialized, high-readiness arm of the police service maintains public order, manages riots, and secures volatile areas. Protecting citizens from violent civil disturbances directly prevents severe abuses of the fundamental right to life and physical security.

National Commission for Civic Education (N.C.C.E.): This is a direct constitutional body in Ghana responsible for educating citizens on their civic rights and duties. By teaching people about the 1992 Constitution, they actively empower citizens to recognize and prevent human rights violations.

Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (D.OV.V.S.U.): This specialized unit of the Ghana Police Service protects vulnerable individuals from gender-based violence, domestic assault, and child abuse. They actively prevent ongoing human rights abuses through immediate law enforcement, victim protection, and the prosecution of abusers.

According to the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, a person only has the right to vote if they are a citizen of 18 years of age or above and of sound mind.

Visually Impaired, Disabled, Deaf or any other physical disabilities do not affect a person's mental capacity or legal soundness of mind.

Under Ghanaian law and international human rights treaties, persons with physical, auditory, or visual impairments have full political rights.

The Electoral Commission (EC) is legally mandated to provide tactile voting ballots, accessible polling booths, and necessary assistance to ensure they can fully cast their votes.
