Reasons for the lack of improvement of technology in Ghana

1. Inability to replace the old indigenous tools with modern ones
2. Inability to learn from foreign technology/lack of practical software training/education
3. Dependence on local ways of production of goods
4. High cost/absence of credit for research and development
5. No venture capital for technology development
6. Unreliability of internet connections
7. Poor health care facilities in Ghana (does not attract technology experts)
8. Lack of incentives for Ghanaian technology experts returning to Ghana
9. Inadequate tax incentives for companies
10. Corruption in public places
11. Irregular power supply
12. Difficulty in registration of companies in Ghana
13. Difficulty in obtaining visas for technology experts
